Ara : Some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured two cousin sisters near Waliganj-Dharhara Chowki under Ara Twn police station in Bhojpur District in South Bihar around on March 3, 2021, night, when they were returning home with their maternal uncle Chand. They were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor referred them to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of their serious condition.

The injured were identified as Shama Parveen, 17, daughter of Mubaraque Ali of village Lohata under Banaras police station in Uttar Pradesh, and Alisha Naz, 16, daughter of Sanaullah of New Bhojpur under Dumraon police station in Buxar district. Both are cousin sisters. Police rushed to the spot and started investigating into the incident. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.

Chand said that Shama Praveen and Alisha Naz had come to their grandmotherin Roza locality under Ara Town police station and had gone to one of their relatives Ahsan Khan at Waliganj in the late evening on March 3, 2021, to attend reception party of his son Sonu. When they were returning along with  their maternal uncle Chand, some unidentified armed miscreants tried to intercept his motorcycle. When Chand did not stop, they shot at and injured Shama Praveen and Alisha Naz.
