Saharsa : An unidetifiled person demanded Rs 5 crore as extortion from BJP MLA from Chatapur in Supaul district in North Bihar Niraj Kumar Babloo on August 11, 2017, night, when he was coming out of Hyderabad Airport.
The caller, who did not identify himself, threatened to eliminate him and his bodyguard if did not pay Rs 5 crore to him. The caller made three calls to him on his mobile number 9431243590 at 9.35 pm, 9.37 pm and 9.39 pm. Apart from informing the authorities concerned at Hyderabad, the BJP MLA also informed police officials in Saharsa district including SHO, Sadar Police Station, Bhai Bharat. SHO Bhai Bharat said that the calls were made from Kazakhstan. He said that police were looking into the matter. Niraj Kumar Babloo is a resident of Gangjala, Saharsa.
