Two women sustain burn injuries, 1 dies

Ara/Sasaram : Two women sustained serious burn injuries in two separate incidents in Bhojpur and Rohtas districts and were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital on March 30, 2019. One of them succumbed to her injuries on March 31, 2019, while the other was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).

Phoolwasia Devi, 75, wife of Dasai Gond of village Jagdishpur under Jagdishpur police station sustained serious burn injuries and succumbed to her injuries on March 31 during treatment at Ara Sadar Hospital.

In another incident, Golu Kumari, 21, wife of Jogindar Paswan of village Dedhagaw under Dawath police station in Rohtas district sustained burn injury on March 30 while cooking food for the family as the gas cylinder leaked and caught fire. She was admitted to Primary Heath Centre but the doctors referred her to Ara Sadar Hospital. The doctors at Ara Sadar Hospital later referred her to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
