Motihari : A young woman was raped at her house at village Malkauniya under Dhaka police station in East Champaran district on Tuesday night.The lady resisted and screamed for help which caught the attention of some villagers.The accused tried to escape but was caught by villagers and handed over to police. The accused was identified as Munilal Chaudhary of the same village was remanded to judicial custody.The survivor was sent to Motihari Sadar hospital for medical examination.
In another incident, a 11 year old girl was raped on Tuesday at her house by a youth by gagging her mouth at a village under Ramgarhwa police station in broad daylight. The accused belongs to the same village. At the time of occurrence the parents of the girl were out of hoouse and the girl was alone. The father of the girl took her to primary health centre (PHC), Ramgarhwa, from where she was sent to Motihari sadar hospital by doctors for her medical examination .Rajesh Kumar,SHO, Ramgarhwa police station, said a case of rape had been lodged against Amit Kumar Mahto by the girl and the accused was arrested on Wednesday.
