Ara : Two students of Class X were killed when their motorcycle overturned near Kulharia Overbridge under Koelwar police station (PS) in Bhojpur District on February 24, 2021, late evening.
The deceased were identified as Anurag Singh, 18, son of Manoj Kumar Singh of Mishra Tola Ward No 3, and Shubham Kumar, 18, son of Krishna Singh of Suraundha Colony Ward No 13 under Koelwar police station.
SHO, Koelwar PS, said that Anurag Singh and his friened Shubham Kumar had gone to a coaching centre at Koelwar Chowk on February 24, 2021, late evening, on a motorcycle. While returning, Shubham Kumar who was driving the motorcycle, lost control and the motorcycle overturned on the road injuring both the friends.
The locals rushed them to Koelwar Primary Health Centre (PHC) but Anurag Singh breathed his last on way to the PHC. The doctor at the PHC referred Shubham Kumar to Ara Sadar Hospital but he too succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital. His family members took him to Ara Sadar Hospital where the doctor diagnosed him brought dead. The family members took the body to their native village without post-mortem. On the other hand, family members of Anurag Singh informed police and the police rushed to the spot and brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
