Two school students drown to death in W Champaran

Bettiah : Two school students of Bettiah town drowned to death Saraiya Lake (Man) under Baria police station in West Champaran district on June 14, 2017, morning.

Sources said that two students of class VIII of  Alok Bharti Private School, Bettiah, Bittu Kumar, 12, son of Bablu Mallik, a resident of village Sagarpokhara, and Pradip Kumar, 13, son of Mathura Mahto of Tinlalten, had gone to Saraiya Lake, a bird sanctuary in Bettiah forest, 12 km away from Bettiah town, on June 14 morning with two other students:  Sarfaraz Mian and Wazid Ali, to see the beauty of nature and also take bath.

When they were taking bath both Bittu Kumar and Pradip Kumar slipped into the deep water and drowned to death. Later on, the bodies were fished out by the villagers. Bairia police station SHO Vijay Yadav along with a police team  brought the bodies to MJK hospital, Bettiah, for autopsy and after that the bodies were handed over to their parents.
