Motihari: A speeding truck crushed to death two persons and injured five others near Turkauliya Chowk on Areraj – Motihari Road on July 6, 2019. The driver escaped after the accident leaving the truck behind. Police seized the truck and bodies were sent for autopsy to Motihari Sadar Hospital.
Police said that the truck, which was on way to Motihari from Areraj first dashed cycle borne Sagir Ahmad near Turkauliya Chowk. Sagir died on the spot. After dashing Sagir, the truck driver lost control over the and rammed six villagers sitting on the flank under the shadow of a tree killing Ujjawal Kumar died on the spot while rest five sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Motihari Sadar Hospital. SHO, Turkauliya police station, said that police have lodged a case in this connection and seized the truck.
