Ara: Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested two hardcore naxalites near Saina bridge under Charpokhari police station on Friday and also recovered arms from their possession which included a looted police rife.
The arrested naxalites were identified as Raj Kumar Ram and Brajesh Ram, former mukhia, both of village Karnaul Chandi under Charpokhari police station. Both of them were history shitters and a number of cases were pending against them. Raj Kumar Ram was wanted in at least six ccriminal cases and was absconding and Brajesh Ram had come out of jail on bail a month ago.
Bhojpur SP Kshtranil Singh said he was tipped off that some naxalites were hatching plan to commit crime in the area. He immediately formed a police team under ASP (operations) Md Sajid to arrest them. The police team chased two motorcycle borne naxalites from Garhani and arrested them near Saina bridge under Charpokhari police station on Friday morning and also seized two loaded countrymade pistols and six live cartridges. On their revelation, the police team recovered a looted 303 police rifle kept in husk from Karnaul Chandi and one .315 regular rifle and a 12 bore double barrel regular gun kept inside a boring near Nirmalnagar village under Charpokhari police station. The police also recovered nine live cartridges of the rifles and three magazines, two mobile sets and one motorcycle.
The SP said Raj Kumar Ram and Brajesh Ram had left the CPI(ML) and developed link with MCCI and have become a contract killer. The SP and said Raj Kumar Ram was involved in a number of murders in Buxar district.that He also said wife of Raj Kumar was contesting panchayat election from chandi panchayat against Pritam Yadav’s relative , a terror of the area, and Raj Kumar Ram and Brajesh Ram were planning to attack Pritam Yadav.
