Supaul : Two minor boys: Mohd Mokrim, 4, and Mohd Mosrim, 2,were charred to death, three others sustained burn injuries and 16 thatched houses were reduced to ashes when a massive fire broke out suddenly at village Islamtola under Basantpur police station in Supaul district on Friday evening.
According to Basantpur station police sources, Zahira Khatoon, wife of Mohd Wasir, was cooking food and her two sons: Mokrim and Mosrim, were sleeping in a room and her husband was in outside house, when the fire sparked from oven and engulfed the house. She could not rescue her two sons who were charred to death. The fire spread over 15 adjoining houses. Fire tender was rushed to the spot and it extinguished the fire.
