Bagaha : Two pilgrims died and nine injured in separate  accidents early January 27 morning. The pilgrims  travelling on two three-wheelers were on way to Valmikinagar on Indo-Nepal border in West Champaran district to  take holy dip at the  confluence of Sonaha, Panchnad and Narayani called “Tirveni’ suddenly met with accident near Bherihari and airstrip under Valmikinagar police station.

Police sources said that a three wheeler carrying about a dozen pilgrims suddenly collided head on with an SSB truck  coming from Valmikinagar in dense fog early Friday morning. One pilgrim Nagendar Gupta (55) died on the spot and nine others injured seriously and admitted to Bagaha sub-divisional hospital. Another three wheeler was dashed from behind by an unknown vehicle near airstrip and driver of the vehicle  Ramji Mahto (30) of village Madanpur was killed on spot.

Valmikinagar police station SHO Bhagat lal  Mandal said that separate cases were lodged with Valmikinagar police station in this connection and bodies were sent to Sub-divisional hospital, Bagaha, for autopsy.
