Sitamarhi : A head on collision between a motorbike and pick- up van on NH77 near village Singrahia under Sonbarsa police station in Sitamarhi district claimed two lives on March 17, 2017. Bike rider Ramu Kumar, 30, died on the spot whereas pillion rider Raju Kumar, 27, succumbed to his injuries at a nursing home at district headquarters, Sitamarhi. Both were residents of village Ranauli under Bathanaha block and were returning to their village from Bhutahi Bazar after doing some household purchases. Police seized both the vehicles. The pick- up van driver managed to escape after the accident. After post-mortem, bodies were handed over to the family members.
