Two killed in separate accidents under Sahar PS in Bhojpur

Ara : Two persons were killed between Khaira and Badaki Khadaon villages under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district on March 12, 2020, late evening, in two separate incidents of accidents. Police brought the bodies over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

SHO, Sahar police station, said that a sexagenarian Harinandan Paswan of village Lodipur under Sahar police station was going on foot on oad near Badki Khadaon village on March 12 late evening on March 12, 2020 when s speeding truck knocked him down killing him on spot. The body of the deceased got trapped in the truck and the driver drove the truck about 200 metre away. Later, the driver escaped from the place leaving the truck behind. Police seized the truck but they had to face strong public protest as they had blocked Sahar-Nasariganj main road with the body demanding a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.

In another incident, driver of a truck was killed in his bid to back the truck near Khaira Mor under Sahar police station on March 12, 2020, late evening. The identity of the truck driver is still to be ascertained.
