Ara: Two persons were killed when a truck collided head on with an Indigo car near village Semaria under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district on Thursday. The villagers set ablaze the truck and also blocked the Ara-Charpokhari road. Later, the blockade was lifted after the intervention by police officials. Police brought the bodies to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
The SHO, Charpokari police station, said that Rajiv, 38, and Izhar Akhtar, 40, of village Balua under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district were going to Sasaram by the Indigo car. When they reached Semaria village, they tried to overtake another vehicle. In the process, they came in the way of a speeding truck and both collided head on in which both the persons were killed on spot.
