Muzaffarpur : Two children died at village Patori under Aurai police station in Muzaffarpur district on May 6, 2017, after they were administered anti-polio dose. The deceased were identified as Raja Babu, 9 months, son of Ranjit Das, and Sonu Kumar, one-and-a-half year, son of Gonour Sahni.

In fact, six children of the village fell ill after vaccination. The condition of two more children is stated to be serious. All of them have been admitted to Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, and being treated by a team of doctors.

Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh has sought a report from the Civil Surgeon in this connection. The DM has asked the Civil Surgeon to explain as to why two children died after immunisation and others fell ill.
