Patna: Two female teachers of premier St Xaviers School near Patna Gandhi Maidan were taken into custody by Patna police on Friday night on charges of sexually exploiting a minor girl student of LKG. Senior SP of Patna Manu Maharaaj said the teachers have been arrested after medical examination of the minor girl and report of forensic science laboratory experts.
St Xaviers School, opened in 1940, is run by the missionaries and is considered one of the best schools in the state. The grandfather of the girl, a retired senior police officer, had filed an FIR with Gandhi Maidan police station against the teachers on November 3 night alleging the LKG student (five year old) had complained to her mother against “Badi Mam” and Chhoti Mam(senior and junior teachers respectively) that they used to play with her in a solitary confiment.
The girl was in shock for the last few days and used to cry when asked to go to the school. She often complained of pain in the body also. One day, her mother examined different parts of her body and found marks of wound on the private part of the baby. Then, the girl narrated the story that the two teachers used to take her to an isolated room during recess, undress her and played with her private part. She developed severe pain on October 27 following which she was taken to a doctor who confirmed about assault on her private parts.
The parents went to Gandhi Maidan police station on November 3 and complained about the sufferings of the student who was later examined by a government doctor. FSL experts were called to the school premises where the girl was allegedly sexually exploited on a portable bed. Evidences of unnatural sex with the baby were found. When her parents went to the principal to lodge their complaint, they were tersely asked to go the police. Gandhi Maidan police reached the school on November 4 evening and arrested two women teachers under sections 376 of IPC and Protection of children from sexual offences Act 2012.
