Bagaha : Police have arrested two extortionists : Raushan Ram, son of Nandlal Ram, and Riteish Kumar, son of Bhawani Ram, of village Ghusakpur under Laukaria police station Bagaha police district. Both of them were sent to Bagaha Sub-Jail on September 1, 2018. Police arrested them for allegedly demanding a ‘Rangadari’ (extortion amount) of Rs 12 lakh from a farmer of the village Surendar Gupta in the name of Maoists.
SHO, Laukaria police station, Vinay Mishra, after investigating the matter, lodged an FIR in this connection. SP, Bagaha, Arbind Kumar Gupta said that this case was not related to Maoists but the rumour was spread only for extorting huge amount.
