Ara : Two youth bike borne were crushed to death after a speeding truck overturned and fell on them near Sangam Tola Tedhka Mor under Jagdishpur police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on December 16, 2020, late evening. Driver of the truck escaped after the incident leaving the truck behind.

Police seized the truck and brought the bodies over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased were identified as Ankit alias Golu, 19, son of Ashok Kushwaha,  and Manoj Kumar, 22, son of Binod Singh of Hatpokhar (Jitaura) village under Piro block in Bhojpur district.

SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that Ankit along with Manoj Kumar was going on motorcycle to Nayaka Tola Mor to collect his father Ashok Kushwaha from there. When he reached Sangam Tola Tedhaki Mor on Piro-Bihia main road, driver of a speeding coming from opposite direction lost control over the steering and the truck overturned on them in which Ankit was crushed to dead on the spot while Manoj Kumar was seriously injured. The truck was lifted with the help of poklane machine and both the youth were taken out from under the truck. The villagers rushed the injured to the Sub-Divisional Hospital at Dulaur but he also succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
