Patna : The number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar so far climbed to 2,45,398 on December 17, 2020, afternoon, as 588 more persons including 262 from Patna, 26 from Saran, 25 from Jehanabad, 18 from West Champaran, and 17 each from Gaya and Vaishali, tested positive to the pandemic on December 16, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 16 persons each from Siwan and Muzaffarpur, 15 from Bhagalpur, 13 from Nalanda, 11 each from Katihar and Begusarai, 9 each from Samastipur, Sheohar, Madhepura, Purnia, and Rohtas, also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 16, 2020.
Of the 2,45,398 Covid-19 cases recorded in the state state till date, altogether 2,38,957 patients have been declared cured including 495 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.38%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 5,103 on December 17, 2020. Bihar has tested 1,67,51,770 samples so far including 1,22,591 samples on December 16, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,337 in Bihar on December 17, 2020, with 5 new deatrhs being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including 4 from Patna and 1 from Arwal. The toll climbed to 349 in Patna on December 17, 2020.
