Two die due to electrocution in Saharsa

Saharsa: A woman and a youth died due to electrocution at separate places under Sonebersa block in Saharsa district after they came in contact with high tension live electric wire on Thursday morning. Angry villagers blocked Sonebersa- Baidyanathpur and Atalkh – Sonebersa roads after the death of a youth due to electrocution. The traffic movement on these roads remained disrupted for about six hours. The Saharsa district administration deployed several policemen there to handle the situation. The blockade was lifted after Sonebersa Block Development officer (BDO)Prakash Kumar  and Circle Officer (CO) Ramavtar Yadav, after talking to senior officials, announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the kinof the deceased besides assuring the villagers that old electric wires would be changed.
