Shahabad range DIG orders for lodging FIR against 8 police personnel

Ara: DIG, Shahabad range, Md. Rahman on Wednesday ordered for lodging an FIR against eight police personnel including a sub-inspector (SI) with Buxar Town police station for allegedly extorting money from the arrested gamblers. He ordered the Investigating Officer to register an FIR against all of them. The eight police personnel include Dharmendra Singh, Sub-Inspector, Rakesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Jitendra Kumar and, Arun Kumar, constables, Amarjeet, driver and two houseguards.

The DIG said that eight police personnel were charged with taking money from some arrested gamblers and an inquiry was going on against them and Buxar SP Upendra Sharma had submitted the inquiry report against them. As the matter came into light, the SP had suspended all the police personnel and asked SDPO (HQs) Manoj Kumar to inquire into the matter. The SDPO found the charges correct and inquiry report against the police personnel was sent to the DIG who ordered for lodging  concernedan FIR against the police personnel.
