Two detained in connection with murderous attack on medicine dealer

Patna: Two persons have been detained for interrogation by Pirbahore police, Patna, in connection with murderous attack on Abdul Rashid Ansari, a medicine dealer, late on January 27 night. Patna Senior SP (SSP) Mannu Maharaaj on Saturday said that police have picked up two persons for interrogation in this connection. He said prima facie it seems that the incident is fallout of some dispute between Ansari and his landlord. Local police are investigating into the matter, he added.

It may be mentioned here that some youth entered a medicine shop,Life Medico, opposite gate number-2, PMCH, late on January 27 night and opened fire at its owner Ansari. One of the bullets hit Ansari on his jaw and he fell down in the shop. The miscreants escaped from there. Locals first admitted him to PMCH and later to a private nursing home as doctors were not available at PMCH at midnight. Police sources revealed that the house in which Ansari’s shop is located has been sold. Ansari was not vacating his shop and this led to the incident.
