Muzaffarpur : Police recovered bullet riddled bodies of two persons on August 28, 2019, from Mathna-Maniyar  under Motipur
police station in Muzaffarpur district. One of the deceased was identified as Manish Kumar  of village Parsauni Ijorbara under Phenhara police station area in East Champaran district on August 29 while second one is yet to be identified by police. Police suspect both of them were killed in a gangwar or dispute over sharering of looted booty.

SDPO, Pakaridayal in East Champaran district in North Bihar, Dinesh Kumar Pandey, said that Manish Kumar was a  notorious criminal wanted in half-a-dozen criminal cases of loot  and violence. He was recently arrested by police in a loot case of  Sheohar district and  jailed but came but was granted bail last fortnight. Cases were lodged against him with Chakiya, Madhuban, Kesariya police stations in East Champaran District and Sheohar  police station in Sheohar district. It is said that he was also involved in criminal activities in neighbouring Muzaffarpur district.

SDPO,  Muzaffarpur West, Krishna Murari Prasad, said police were trying to ascertain the identity of the other  deceased but it is clear that both were notorious criminals  who were killed in gang war. Police recovered  empty cartridges, sandals, and
shoes from the spot.
