Saharsa : In a tragic incident, Raushan Kumar, 21, and his younger brother Rupesh Kumar,16, a matriculation examinee, were killed after an autorickshaw collided head-on with their Scooty near Mahkhar railway Dhala (incline) on Simribakhtiarpur-Saharsa Main Road in Saharsa District in North Bihar on February 19, 2022, morning.
The two brothers died on the spot. The deceased were natives of village Badia under Raipura Panchayat in Saharsa District. Raushan Kumar was going to drop his younger brother Rupesh Kumar to matriculation examination centre on his Scooty. The incident shocked the locals and they blocked Simribakhtiarpur-Saharsa Main Road for hours in protest. Police reached the place of occurrence and took the auto driver into their custody besides seizing the auto.
Simribakhtiarpur MLA Yusuf Sallauddin, who reached the spot, expressed his shock and profound grief over the death of Raushan and Rupesh. He demanded adequate compensation to the next of kin of the deceased.
