Patna: Five persons were arrested by Aurangabad police late on Thursday night from different places with Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and countrymade liquor.
According to Nabinagar police station SHO Awadesh Kumar, acting on a tip off, a police team intercepted a four-wheeler and recovered 1,000 pouch of countrymade liquor and 18 bottles of IMFL from the vehicle. He said that police arrested Udai Singh and Chanchal Kumar, father and son, in this connection. He said that both are residents of Hussainbad police station area and were smuggling iquor from Jharkhand.
In another incident, Obra police arrested three persons when they were consuming liquor. Obra ps SHO Om Prakash said that the arrested persons, who had been identified as Bhura Paswan, Dharmendra Pal and Upendra Kumar, were forwarded to judicial custody after medical examination.
