Patna: Aurangabad Police on Thursday arrested a naxalite Devi Yadav alias Kamlesh Yadav,32, for setting ablaze vehicles besides thrashing two munshis of a private construction company engaged in construction of buildings of Chalidohar Government School under Madanpur police station recently.
Separate police teams, on secret information, carried out raids at suspected hideouts of naxalites under Madanpur police station and arrested Yadav. Aurangabad SP Stayaprakash said that the arrested naxal is a native of village Chechani in the district. He said that Yadav confessed his involvement in the incident and also disclosed some vital information about the movement of his colleagues.
SP Satyaprakash revealed that Yadav is close associates of top naxal leader Ram Prasad alias Prasad Yadav, who is evading arrest in connection with several cases of naxal violence in Aurangabad.
It may be mentioned here that over 40 naxalites had set ablaze vehicles of a private construction company and assaulted two munshis four days back.
