Gopalganj: A Gopalganj police team on December 11  arrested two criminals in connection with an incident of cash loot from a Customer Service Centre at Ganga Mor. Armed criminals had looted Rs 1.5 lakh cash from the Centre at Ganga Mor on December 5.

Gopalganj SP Ravi Ranjan Kumar said that the arrested criminals were identified as Bittu alias Tarkeshwar Singh, a native of village
Dhanauti under Dhanauti police outpost in Siwan district, and Pankaj Kuar, a native of village Jerayampur under Bhore ps in Gopalganj district. He said that police team recovered Rs 18,000 cash from the possession of the arrested criminals.

Police also recovered a countrymade pistol, two live cartridges besides a bike from their possession he added. police sources said that a police team led by Bhore police station SHO Gautam Kumar carried out raids and arrested the two criminals. Sources said that Siwan based criminals, in association with local criminals, had carried out the entire operation. Both the arrested criminals were sent to jail after interrogation and raids were on to arrest their other associates, police added.
