Patna : Top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, 23, Greece, 2nd seed Alexander Zverev, 24, Germany, and 4th seed Casper Ruud,22, Norway, and 6th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime, 21, Canada, reached the second round of Erste Bank Open ( Vienna Open), an ATP 500 indoor hard courts tennis tournament, at Vienna, Austria, on October 26, 2021.

World No 3 Tsitsipas beat World No 22 Grigor Dimitrov, 30, Bulgaria, in straight sets 7-6, 6-4 in 1hr 41 minutes in first round winning a tie-break and 1 break point as well as 3 games in a row during the match. Dimitrov, however, hammered 10 ces in the match to 6 by Tsitsipas. The Greed, in all, won 54 points to 49 by the Bulgarian.

World No 4 Zverev beat World N0 40 Filip Krajinovic, 29, Serbia, in straight sets 6-2, 7-5 in 81 minutes in first round. Zverev won 4 break points during the match to 1 by Krajinovic. He also won 5 games in a row during the match to 3 by the Serbian. The German hammered 12 Aces in the match to 4 by the Serbian. Zverev, however, also committed 3 double faults in the match to 1 by the Serbian.

World No 12 Aliassime defeated World No 99 Ricardas Berankis, 31, Lithuania, in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 in first round. The Canadian won 4 break points during the match to 1 by Berankis. HE also fired 4 Aces during the match. Aliassime won 6 games in a row during the match to 2 by Berankis.
