New Delhi : India reported 13,451 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, up from 12,428 cases on October 26, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 122 consecutive days now.
On the other hand, a total of 14,021 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours, down from 15,951 recoveries on October 26, 2021, taking the cumulative tally of recovery of patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,35,97,339 on October 27, 2021. India’s recovery rate was 98.19% on October 27, at its highest peak since March 2020, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
The Active Caseload remains below 2 lakh mark and was 1,62,661 on October 27, down from 1,63,816 on October 26, the lowest in 242 days. Active cases accounted for 0.48% of the country’s total Positive Cases on October 27, the lowest since March 2020.
With the administration of 55,89,124 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 103.53 crore (1,03,53,25,577) as per provisional reports till 7 am on October 27, 2021. This has been achieved through 1,02,95,714 sessions.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 13,05,962 sample tests being conducted in the country. India has so far conducted over 60.32 crore (60,32,07,505) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.22% remains less than 2% for the last 33 days now. The Daily Positivity rate was 1.03% on October 27, 2021. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for last 23 days and below 3% for 58 consecutive days now.
