Tsitsipas beats Minaur to win Next Gen ATP finals

Patna : World No 15 in ATP rankings Stefanos Tsitsipas, 20, Greece, won the Next Gen ATP Finals on November 11, 2018, beating World No 31 Alex de Minaur, 19, in the final at Milan, Italy. Tsitsipas was ranked 91st in the ATP rankings on January 1, 2018.

Top seed Tsitsipas beat 2nd seed Minaur 2-4, 4-1, 4-3, 4-3 in 100 minutes in the final. It has been a breakthrough year for Tsitsipas. Both the players had failed to qualify for the event in 2017. It was Tsitsipas’ second title of the year. World No 68 Andrey Rublev, 21, Russia, finished third beating World No 76 Jaume Munar, 21, Spain.
