Ara : Bike borne unidentified miscreants shot at and injured a truck driver near Brodson Company Check-Post on Babura Bridge under on Ara-Chhapara main road under Barahara police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar around midnight on January 2, 2021, when the driver protested their bid to loot him. The miscreants escaped after the incident.
Later, an injured driver was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. The injured has been identified as Munna Sahni, 22, son of Rameshwar Sahni of Guraul village under the same police station in Vaishali District in North Bihar An FIR has been lodged with Barahara PS in this connection and police are investigating.
Md Shahnawaaz Ansari, owner of the truck, said that Munna Sahni was going to Hajipur after loading sand from Mahabalipur Sand ghat at village Jalpur under Chandi PS in Bhojpur Ddistrict around midnight on January 2, 2021, and when he reached near Brodson Company Check Post on Babura Bridge under Barahara PS bike borne unidentified miscreants intercepted him and snatched cash and mobile phone from him. When he protested, the miscreants shot at and injured him and escaped from the scene.
