Tribal girl gangraped in Giridih, two arrested

Giridih: A 16 year old tribal girl was gangraped by two local persons at an isolated place near Mahadeo Talab road under Town police station, Giridih, Jharkhand, on September 11 evening. Giridih police have lodged an FIR in this regard and the survivor was brought over to Giridih Sadar hospital for medical examination. Police arrested the accused and they were forwarded to jail.
In an FIR lodged with Town police station, Giridih, the survivor, a resident of Badkitand village under Muffasil police station, said that she was deliberately called by a man Mod Bittu Ansari (35), a resident of Hutti bazaar, who she knew for the past few months, to his place. Soon after she reached there at around 3 pm on Sunday, Bittu introduced her with one Nadim Quraisi (32) and told her to stay with them for few hours. Later, they took her to a lonely place near that area and gangraped her for many hours. She was left unconscious near a paddy field, police said.
“ The victim revealed that while she was known to Ansari for the past few months, Quraisi was stranger to her,” said DSP Vijay Ashish Kujur.
