Motihari: The parents of the minor gang rape survivor of Pipra deposed before the court of Dayalal Prasad, ADJ I,
Motihari, on the first day of speedy trial of this sensational case. The court examined these witnesses and recorded their statements. The next dates of hearing of this case is July 7 and 11 and after that the court will pronounce its judgment, according to prosecution.
Police had submitted chargesheet against two accused: Pramod Sahani and Kamlesh Sahani, who were arrested on June 16 from village Bediban under Pipra police station in East Champaran district. It may be recalled that the minor girl was gangraped by two fellow villagers in a mango orchard on June 15 evening. The girl was sent to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) in critical condition as she had sustained internal injuries.The girl is still undergoing treatment at PMCH. The incident had triggered a strong protest by about a dozen organizations for four days at Motihari and Pipra.
