Traders affected by anti-encroachment drive protest outside residence of Mayor Sita Sahu

Patna : Some traders and locals affected by the anti- encroachment drive being carried out by Patna district administration created ruckus at the Badi Patan Devi residence of Mayor, Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC), Sita Sahu, under Alamganj police station, Patna, on August 24, 2018, late night, holding her responsible for the demolition of their business premises and houses.

An FIR has been lodged with Alamganj police station in this connection. There were repots of firing by miscreants but police have denied it. Mayor Sita Sahu and his son were present at the time when protestors reached her house. Police reached the spot soon after getting the information but by the time they reached there the protestors had already escaped. Police are trying to identify the miscreants through CCTV footage. Mayor Sita Sahu represents Ward No 58 of Patna Municipal Corporation.
