Trader shot dead in broad daylight under Jakkanpur PS, Patna

Patna : Three bike borne criminals shot dead a Mosquito Net and Blanket dealer Harihar Prasad, 65, at his shop near Dupulwa under Jakkanpur Police Station (PS), Patna, at 11 am on December 2, 2019. The criminals fired at Harihar Prasad after he resisted their cash loot bid and escaped. Harishar Prasad succumbed to his injuries on way to Hospital. The broad daylight murder has triggered panic in the area but police are yet to arrest those involved in the murder.

Police have identified the three criminals through CCTV footage, said, SHO, Jakkanpur PS in Patna District. The SHO said that three criminals reached near the shop on a bike. While two of them entered the shop, the third criminal stood in guard outside, the SHO said. He said that Harihar Prasad, a resident of Machhardani colony near Dupulwa under Jakkanpur PS, had never complained of any extortion demand.
