Karman Kaur jumps 102 places in WTA rankings, Sowjanya jumps 61 places

Patna : Karman Kaur Thandi, 21, India, has jumped 102 places to be ranked World No 465 with 86 points in the WTA rankings released on December 2, 2019. Sowjanya Bavisetti, 25, India, has jumped 61 places to be ranked World No 612 with 48 points. Ankita Raina, 26, India, remains static at World No 188 with 321 points. But, Rutuja Bhosale, India, has dropped 5 places to be ranked World No 421 with 104 ranks.

Ashleigh Barty (7,851 points), Australia, Karolina Pliskova (5,940 points), Czech Republic, Naomi Osaka (5,496 points), Japan, Wimbledon Champion Simona Halep(5,462 points), Romania, and Bianca Andreescu (5,133Points), Canada, remain World No 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 respectively.

Angelique Kerber, 31, Germany, the winner of three Grand Slam singles title including 2018 Wimbledon title, is World No 20 with 2,175 points while Garbine Muguruza, 26, Spain, the 2016 French Open and 2017 Wimbledon Champion, is World No 35 with 1,412 points. Caroline Wozniacki, 29, Denmark, the 2018 Australian Open Champion, is World No 37 with 1,383 points.
