Ara : Two unidentified bike borne miscreants shot at and injured owner of a makeshift shop near New Sheetal Tola locality under Nawada police station, Ara, on October 1, 2018, for not giving ‘Rangdari’ ( extortion amount) and escaped. The injured was admitted to Sadar Hospital, Ara, in a critical condition. An FIR has been lodged with Nawada police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard
SHO, Nawada police station in Bhojpur district, Subodh Kumar, said that some miscreants had demanded Rs 20,000 from the owner of a makeshift shop at New Sheetal Tola locality Mitthu Kumar, 25, son of Tapeshwar Prasad, and when he did not yield to their demand, they attacked his shop on October 1 and shot at and injured him.
SDPO, Ara, Pankaj Kumar said that the incident is a fallout of an old enmity between two groups and police were investigating into the incident and added that the miscreants would be arrested very soon.
