Saharsa : Three members of a family belonging to village Dhabouli under Patarghat police station in Saharsa District in North Bihar died while three other members of the family were seriously injured on February 23, 2020, early morning, as the Nano car they were travelling by rammed the railing of the bridge on NH 57 near Kakarghatti under Sadar police station, Darbhanga, in Darbhanga District, when they were going to Saharsa from MIC Colony, Bela, under Mithanpura police station, Muzaffarpur.

The deceased were identified as Rekha Devi, wife of Jivendra Jha, Raju and Madhu Kumari, son and daughter of Jivendra Jha. Police reached the spot and took the injured out of the car and admitted them to Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital (DMCH). The injured were identified as Smita Kumari, daughter-in-law of Jivendra Jha, Smita’s daughter Anika, 3, and one Kundan Kumar.

The family was going to Dhabouli, Saharsa, to attend a birthday function. The car dashed the railing of the bridge as the driver lost control over the steering wheel, according to sources.
