Gopalganj: With the arrest of four youths, Gopalganj police claimed to have busted a gang involved in theft of two-wheelers across the district. Three stolen bikes were also recovered from their possession.

Gopalganj SP Ravi Ranjan Kumar on Thursday said that a task force was constituted in the wake of sudden increase in cases of theft of two-wheelers across the district. He said that members of the task force carried out raids under different police stations and arrested Rohit Prasad alias Nebul Lal, a native village Dahibhata under Uchakagoan police station, Aashish Kumar and Jalandhar Prasad, natives of village Rupanchap under Bishambharpur police station, and Vikash Kumari Tiwary, a resident of Sareya locality under Town police station.

SP Kumar said that three stolen bikes were recovered from the possession of the arrested youth. He said that raids were on to arrest other members of the gang. The arrested youths were sent to jail after interrogation.Town Inspector Baleshwar Rai and Town police station SHO Santosh Kumar led the teams which conducted.
