Three members of Bikers’ gang held

Patna: A police team on January 19, 2017, arrested three members of Bikers’ Gang from AG Colony Park under  Shashtrinagar police station. Members of the gang had unleashed terror in areas under Shashtrinagar and Rajeev Nagar police stations areas in Patna, said Senior SP (SSP), Patna, Manu Maharaaj.

Police said that the SSP had issued directives to all SDPOs and SHOs to launch a drive against anti-social elements, road Romeos and members of organized criminal gangs on the occasion of Basant Panchami. He had also issued directives for intensive vehicle checking. The SSP had received inputs that members of Bikers’ Gang were planning to commit some crime in an area under Shashtrinagar police station. He directed SHO concerned to keep an eye over the movement of the gang and carry out raids.

SHO, Shahstrinagar police station, on Thursday received information that some members of the gang had assembled at AG Colony Park. When a police team reached there, it saw some youths fleeing from there. The cops chased them and arrested three of them identified as Prince alias Om Prakash, a resident of Punaichak under Shashtrinagar ps, Vikrant alias Little, a resident of Punaichak under Shashtrinagar ps, and Chotu Mental alias Shashi ranjan, a native of village Amauna under Rishiyap ps in Aurangabad.

The arrested youth, during interrogation, told police that they had violent fight with another gang led by Sonu Kumar and they had opened fires at that time. They also told police that earlier they had taken Sonu Kumar and Bipin Kumar from Patel Nagar to AG Colony Park on their bikes and assaulted them. They also took both the youths again to a house at Rajiv Nagar locality, assaulted them mercilessly and made a video of the incident. An FIR had been lodged with the Shashtrinagar police station on December 31, 2016, in this connection.

SSP said that Sonu and Bipin Kumar are also members of Bikers’ Gang. He said that there are 15-20 members in the Bikers’Gang and they indulge in firing and commit other crimes to establish their supremacy in their area.
