Patna: Three persons were killed when a car in which they were travelling went out of control, skidded and fell into a roadside ditch on NH-83 on Patna-Gaya road late on January 4 night.

On getting information, local police reached the spot and the cops were trying to pull out the vehicle from the ditch. The vehicle belongs to one Chnitu Singh, a native of Sripalpur in Punpun, in Patna district and he had given his  vehicle to one of his friends. Though it is not known that how many persons were travelling in the car, locals said that there were five persons in the vehicle when it fell into the roadside ditch. The occupants were enroute Punpun from
village Chandua village when it met with an accident.
Punpun ps SHO Subhash Prasad on January 5 said that three bodies have been fished out. He said that two of the deceased had been identified as Manoj Kumar alias Mukesh, a native of Pakri Kela Bagan, and Laddu Singh of Sripalpur. “We are not aware of the number of persons travelling in the vehicle as the ditch is full of water,” he said
adding that the number of victims would be clear only after the vehicle is pulled out of water. A JCV has been pressed into service at the accident site to pull the vehicle out.
