Patna: Three persons including a woman sustained serious injuries when a four-wheeler (Bolero) on which they were travelling collided with running Gaya-Patna Memu train- 63244 at Jehanabad on Gaya-Patna main line on December 17  morning. The mishap took place due to dense fog.

Police said that the train was coming to Patna from Jehanabad and the driver of the four-wheeler did not see the coming train due to dense fog and was crossing the railway crossing there. The train hit the four-wheeler damaging it beyond recognition and its three  occupants sustained serious injuries. “The people sitting in the four-wheeler were lucky enough as the train was moving very slowly, ““said a local.

After the mishap, the movement of trains on Patna-Gaya section was affected and the train remained stranded there for over half an hour. As the news of the mishap spread in the locality, a large number of people assembled there. Police reached the spot and admitted the injured persons to a local hospital. The movement of trains on the particular section was restored later.
