Patna: Three accused of Ghorasahan rail track bomb planting incident were on February 3 produced before the National Investigation Agency (NIA) special court at Patna. The court sent the three accused to judicial custody till February 17.

It may be mentioned here that a cooker bomb was found on rail track on October 1, 2016, at Ghorasahan in East  Champaran. Three persons : Umashankar Patel, Motilal Paswan and Mukesh Yadav, were arrested in connection with the murder of Deepak Ram and Arun Ram in area falling under the jurisdiction of Aadapur police station in East Champaran. The bodies of Deepak and Arun were recovered from Bara in Nepal.

It was during the interrogation in the twin murder that the trio told the police about ISI involvement in Ghorasahan incident and Kanpur rail tragedy in which around 150 persons died. This alerted the NIA, which took over the investigatiotn of the two cases, as the arrested persons had links with Dubai based Shamsul Hoda, who was mastermind behind Kanpur rail derailment. Deepak and Arun were also murdered at the behest of Hoda as they failed to blast the rail tracks at Ghorasahan. Recently, two senior NIA officers had also visited the site where the cooker bomb was found on the rail tracks in East Champaran.
