Buxar : A speeding tractor crushed to death a minor boy near Mangraul bridge on Ishapur – Parsathua main road on February 3. The irate villagers blocked the road for about three hours paralysing the traffic. They were demanding compensation to the deceased’s family.
The blockade was lifted after positive assurance from the local officials. BDO, Rajpur heblock, Ajay Kumar Singh, gave a cheque of Rs 20000 under Family Security Scheme to the family of deceased. Later, police sent the body to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Pratap Kumar, 12, son of Rajendra Ram was playing with his friends near Mangraul bridge on Ishapur -Parsathua main road under Rajpur block in Buxar district when a speeding tractor crushed him to death.
