Three children drown to death at Jehanabad village

Jehanabad : Three children in the age group of 10-13 years drowned to death in a canal at village Rasalpur under Kako Block in Jehanabad district on October 18, 2017, morning, while taking bath. The deceased were identified as siblings Suraj Kumar and Jyoti Kumari and their cousin Ankit. They slipped and fell into deep waters while taking bath,  according to Block Development Officer (BDO), Kako, Navkunj Kumar. No adult family member was accompanying the children.

BDO Kumar said that the deceased would get a compensation of Rs 4.2 lakh each. Kumar visited village Rasalpur along with Circle Officer (CO) Vishnudayal Rai. All the three bodies were sent for post-mortem to Jehanabad Sadar Hospital.
