Bettiah : Police on May 14, 2017, arrested three criminals in connection with murder of gangster Babloo Dubey on Bettiah court premises on May 11. The arrested criminals were identified as Suraj Mehta of village Pipara under Fenahara police station in East champaran , and Vijay Yadav and Niraj Yadav of Parbatia tola under Bettiah Mufassil police station in West champaran.

West Champaran SP Vinay Kumar on May 15 told mediapersons that mastermind of Babloo Dubey murder case were Rahul Singh, Vikas Singh and Chhotayee Singh, all lodged in  Motihari district jail. They were became enemy number one of Babloo after the latter took ransom money from kidnapped Suresh Kedia, an industrialist of Nepal, to release him. Babalu Dubey did not give them equal share in Kedia kidnapping. Rahul Singh wanted to become gang leader in place of Babloo Dubey.

One Kural Singh, an associate of jailed Rahul Singh, who is evading arrest had managed the whole operation and he roped two teenagers: Suraj Mehta and Suman Saurabh from Remand Home Motihari for killing Dubey. The SP revealed that Suman Saurabh had opened the fire first on Babloo and other bullets were fired by Suraj Mehta. The SP said that 5 to 6 criminals including Suman Saurabh involved in the murder are at large though police were conducting raids to arrest them. He said that Vijay Yadav and Niraj Yadav of village Parabatiya under Mufassil police station, Bettiah,  were arrested on the charge of providing vehicle and shelter to the killers.
