Theft at armyman’s house in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi: Jewellery, cash and valuables worth about Rs 5 lakh were stolen from the house of an armyman Shishir Kumar in Basbaria colony under Ward-11 of Sitamarhi town on April 6, 2017, night. The stolen jewellery, cash and other goods were kept at the house for the marriage of Shishir Kumar’s daughter.

Shishir, who is posted at Baramulla in Jammu & Kashmir, informed the police officials about the theft at his house. His wife Alpana Kumari lodged an FIR with police in this connection but none has been arrested so far. Town police
inspector M C Kunwar visited the place of occurrence and assured the local residents of quick action.
