Tension at Gomia as rival groups clash

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Police were forced to use mild lathicharge  on April 11, 2017, afternoon to control an irate mob of two groups of people who started attacking each other at Sadam Bazar (Gomia ), about 45 km away from Bokaro steel city. Bermo DSP R K Mehta received injuries in his right hand, suspected to have fractured, in the incident.

Senior officers including Bokaro SP Y S Ramesh and Bermo SDO Kuldip Chowdhry were camping at the place along with large contingent of security forces.The situation is stated to be under control. According to police, some ant-social elements threw head of an animal at a market triggering tension between rival groups.“ The situation is under  control,” stated SDO, Bermo.
