Ten gamblers arrested at Ara

Ara: Bhojpur police on Monday conducted raid at a guessing centre near Ara Station road area under Nawada police station and arrested 10 gamblers and seized Rs 2660 cash from them. Later, police forwarded them to jail.

Police, on a tip off, had  conducted raids in areas under Barhara police station on Sunday evening and arrested three motorcycle lifters and also recovered a countrymade pistol from their possession. Later, police forwarded them to jail. The arrested miscreants were identified as Ashok Ojha, son of Jitendra Ojha of Dhamanda under Bihia police station, Rahul Yadav and Rohit Yadav, sons of Umesh Yadav of M P Bagh locality under Town Police Station, Ara.

In another incident, Bhojpur police conducted raid  at Babura under Barhara police station arrested three criminals Chhotey Singh, Ravi Mahto and Dhanji Mahto on Sunday. The police also seized two gold rings, an iron chest full of cloths and Rs 49,900 cash. Later, police forwarded them to jail.
