Bagaha: Special security arrangements are being made this year to maintain law and order during Durga Puja at Madanpur Devi Durgasthan under Naurangia police station in West Champaran district.
Bagaha SP Anand Kumar Singh on Saturday said although fullproof security arrangements are being made Durga puja and police forces would be deployed at every place where people offer prayer and organise mela but special arrangements are being made for Madanpur Devi Durgasthan where thousands of devotees, pilgrims and even tourists turn up including those from UP and Nepal to offer prayer every year. The temple is located in dense Madanpur forest in Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR). The district police have already decided to open a temporary police station there to maintain law and order,the SP said.
