Patna : Tejaswini Sawant, India, won silver medal in women’s 50m Rifle Prone at Gold Coast Commonwealth Games (CWG) on April 12, 2018, with a total score of 618.9 finishing behind Martina Lindsay Veleso, Singapore.

Tejaswini Sawant, 37, hails from Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Her father late Ravindra Sawant was an officer in the Indian Navy. She received  Arjuna Award in 2011. She married builder social figure and builder Sameer Darekar of Pune, Maharashtra, in 2016.
